Bid Writer / Manager
Location: Brackley
Type: Full-time
Overview:
As our Bid Writer / Manager, you’ll lead the preparation, coordination and submission of bids for projects. You’ll work closely with our directors, design team and commercial team to produce compelling, compliant tenders that clearly demonstrate our value, experience and approach.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify new tender opportunities and manage the bid pipeline
- Lead the end-to-end bid process from initial review to final submission
- Write clear, persuasive responses tailored to each opportunity
- Coordinate input from design, commercial and operations teams
- Maintain and develop bid libraries, case studies and CVs
Ideal experience:
- Proven experience in bid writing / bid management (construction, landscape or related sectors preferred)
- Strong written communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple bids
Designer
Location: Brackley
Type: Full Time
Overview:
You’ll support the development of layouts, visualisations and technical information that balance creativity, functionality and compliance. You are at the heart of what we create and it takes a person with fantastic design ability.
Key responsibilities:
- Produce concept designs, space plans and layout drawings for school projects
- Prepare planning and building regulation drawings as required
- Collaborate with the commercial and construction teams to develop practical solutions
- Create presentation material for clients and bid submissions
- Ensure designs align with safeguarding, accessibility and education guidelines
Ideal experience:
- Experience in architectural / interior / technical design (education or commercial projects a plus)
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g. AutoCAD, 3Ds Max, SketchUp, Adobe Suite)
- Strong eye for detail and practical, buildable design
Quantity Surveyor
Location: Brackley
Type: Full-time
Overview:
The Quantity Surveyor will manage the financial and contractual aspects of our projects, ensuring work is delivered on budget and offers value for money to our clients. You’ll be involved from tender through to final account, working closely with site teams and our supply chain.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare cost plans, bills of quantities and tender documents
- Evaluate subcontractor quotes and place orders
- Monitor costs, variations and cash flow during the project
- Prepare valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
- Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
Ideal experience:
- Experience as a QS within construction or refurbishment
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contracts
- Confident with measurement, valuing variations and cost reporting
Construction Foreman
Location: Site-based across the UK
Type: Full-time
Overview:
As Construction Foreman, you’ll be the on-site lead ensuring our projects are delivered safely, to programme and to a high standard. You’ll supervise operatives and subcontractors, coordinate day-to-day activities and act as the main point of contact on site.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and supervise daily site activities
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with company procedures
- Liaise with clients, school representatives and the project team
- Monitor quality of workmanship and resolve site issues promptly
- Maintain site records, inductions and tool-box talks
Ideal experience:
- Previous experience as a Foreman / Site Supervisor in construction
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of health & safety and site management practices
Construction Operatives
Location: Site-based across the UK
Type: Full-time
Overview:
Our Construction Operatives are at the heart of what we do, carrying out a variety of tasks on school renovation projects. You’ll work as part of a close-knit team delivering high-quality work in live and non-live school environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out general construction, refurbishment and fit-out tasks
- Support trades such as carpentry, partitioning, decorating and basic groundworks
- Follow site health & safety procedures at all times
- Help maintain clean, safe and organised work areas
- Work flexibly to meet project programmes and school requirements
Ideal experience:
- Previous site experience (education environment experience beneficial but not essential)
- CSCS card preferred
- Reliable, hardworking and professional when working in school settings
